The consumer edition of the Interior Design Yearbook has seen huge success in since its launch. First published in 2010, CIDY is sold in both high street and travel WHSmith stores and was produced as a result of the success from the professional edition and the potential it held in equipping inspiring designers with the information they need to get started on the road to professional qualification. As well as being available on the high streets, the yearbook is available to purchase in airports and train stations and is published in a handy A5 format, making it the perfect traveling companion.

The book has previously been produced in association with the British Institute of Interior Design and some of the features come directly from the design minds of the Institute members. Projects from around the globe feature every year in the boom to inspire readers and help in realizing design potential. Other previous contributors have included Wayne Hemingway, Katharine Pooley, Rose Uniacke, Joanna Wood and Sally Storey. The book allows consumer readers to tap into the minds of the professionals and use their advice to inspire and induce more creative thinking in the home.
